SANTA FE (AP) - Santa Fe has been named the country’s Number Two place for artists and creative people.

That’s according to a list put together by Sperling’s Best Places and Businessweek.com.

The publications compiled the list by identifying areas with the highest concentrations of artistic businesses.

Other considerations included the percentage of people between 25 and 34, population diversity and the concentration of museums, orchestras, dance companies, theater troupes, libraries and college arts programs.

Los Angeles topped the list.  Following Santa Fe are Carson City, Nevada; New York City and Kingston, New York.
