Dear Pygoya (Dr. Chang),

I am sorry about the delay in replying to you but I
received your letter only yesterday after coming back
from a week's vacation to Darjeeling (a long overdue
one!!!).

I am glad you liked our virtual gallery and excited
about your proposal to exhibit with you online as
well as in India. Which city/cities are you planning
to exhibit your work?

I am located in Calcutta and know some gallery owners
and dealers here although I only exhibited my work
twice at the cafe at Alliance Francaise de Calcutta.
Sadly that old premises burnt down after an accident
recently. But I hear they are shifting to new premises.

In Calcutta, I could talk to a few gallery owners and
try to secure space if you are interested.

You have my permission to exhibit Scrollscape at
Cyberculture Art Museum. I'll add "www.lastplace.com"
to our list of links.

Please let me know when and how (specs, if any) you
want my work for online exhibition. And I'll send
them to you by e-mail.

Thanks for your interest. I am surfing your gallery
now!

BTW, do you remember how you came across our gallery
at media-software.com? I am curious to know.

Shubhojoy (Mitra).

WELCOME BACK TO WORK! WHAT DO YOU DO?

HE'S CLOSER TO GETTING A GALLERY BUT THERE'S ISSUES OF MONEY AND THIS OTHER ARTIST WHO WANTS SOLO SHOW FIRST BEFORE OUR GROUP SHOW. IF YOU CAN GET CHEAPER OR EVEN FREE EXHIBIT SPACE, I'D LOVE TO DO SHOW IN CALCUTTA. MAYBE 'TRAVELLING SHOW' NEXT TO BOMBAY. I WANT TO INTRODUCE YOGI'S EMAIL TO YOU LATER SO YOUR WORK ALSO INCLUDED IN BOTH SHOWS. RIGHT NOW LOOKS LIKE NOVEMBER 1999 BUT CAN YOU GET A SHOW BEFORE THAT IN CALCUTTA?

QUESTION - YOUR 2 SHOWS PREVIOUSLY- WAS IT DIGITAL ART? IF SO, WAS IT
THE FIRST DIGITAL ART EXHIBITS OF INDIA AS FAR AS YOU KNOW? I HAVE BEEN
WORKING 6 MONTHS TO ORGANIZE THIS 'FIRST' SHOW AND KNOW MAYBE YOU
ALREADY HAD DONE IT??? IF SO, FOR MY HISTORY SITE RECORDS, WHEN AND
WHERE WAS THE SHOWS AT?

FIRST WE NEED TO KNOW IF WE CAN DO AN AFFORDABLE SHOW. THEN WE DUPLICATE
AND DOCUMENT THE SHOW ON BOTH OUR SITES.

ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE - I SEND SOME FRAMED WORKS TO EXHIBIT IN YOUR
COUNTRY AND I RETURN THE FAVOR AND GET YOU A SHOW IN HONOLULU, HAWAII,
USA.

RIGHT NOW I AM WORKING TO GET CONNECTIONS IN NEW YORK CITY AND POSSIBLE
CAN HELP YOU OUT TO GET EXPOSURE THERE IN 2000.

PLEASE WRITE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AS THERE ARE OTHER PARTIES INVOLVED AND
I HAVE TO REPLY TO YOGI'S LATEST EMAIL DEVELOPMENTS.

IF WE TRADE SHOWS, YOUR HAWAII SHOW WILL BE FREE (BUT YOU PAY BOTH WAYS
FOR SHIPPING YOUR ART) AND YOU CAN BE ASSURED OF PHOTOGRAPHIC
DOCUMENTATION SENT TO YOU AND PUT ON MY WEB SITE. WE COULD, IN FACT,
HAVE A 2-PERSON SHOW OF DIGITAL ART WORLD, ONE HERE IN HONOLULU AND ONE
IN CALCUTTA.

SO WE HAVE MANY CHOICES OF INTERACTION.

GLAD YOU HAVE RESPONDED TO MY NEED AND INTEREST IN LEARNING OF DIGITAL
ART BEGINNINGS IN INDIA.

ALOHA,
Pygoya
