Jonathan Winters was one of my favorite comedians when I was growing up,. Watching B&W television, he made me laugh (along with Jerry Lewis and The 3 Stooges)

"I've done for the most part pretty much what I intended — I ended up doing comedy, writing and painting," he told U.S. News. "I've had a ball. And as I get older, I just become an older kid." I'm thinking, what a succinct summary of his life.

Among his books is a collection of short stories called "Winters' Tales" (1987).

The comedic genius passed away this past week.  Jonathan Winters, 1925-2013
