DESCRIPTION

FROM THE JOURNAL OF RODNEY CHANG JANUARY 14, 1986
1. Maintain premises - plants, rugs, lighting, art labels, art work - maintain immaculate gallery visual order 2. Work with artists to put together shows - primary and secondary meetings, collection of all materials, mail out invitations, installation, opening (delegate out refreshment chores, spend more time mixing to promote sales, the artists and become acquainted with other artists attending the reception opening) 3. Community Outreach - other art galleries (exchange shows or get Chang and other SoHo artists exhibits outside of our gallery) 4. Sales, promotions and collections 5. Telephone communications, record show information messages on telephone, gallery hours, etc. 6. Community co-sponsored projects - ex. Greenpeace, Narcissus Queeen Contest, Kalihi- Palama Culture & Arts Society, etc 7. Public Relations 8. Marketing, distribution and sales transaction and recordkeeping 9. FRIDAY NITE AT SOHO - schedule musicians and poets, rereshments, send out invites 10.Gallery publications and writings; club newsletter
