about the artist

PYGOYA NOVEMBER 2003

I LOVE TO PAINT.

I KNOW HAVE AS AN ARTIST, AFTER MY TRAVELS, A MORE VISCERAL SENSE OF EUROPEAN PAINTING (1880-1930S MUSEUM COLLECTIONS).

MY NEW ASSIMILIATION OF "OLD EUROPE" WORKS WILL TEMPOR THE RAINBOW COLORS THAT CAN OVERWHELM THE ARTIST LIVING IMMERSED WITHIN A TROPICAL PARADISE.

BUT LIVING IN THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS MAKES ME VERY AWARE OF THE ELMENTS OF NATURE, THAT OF METAL, WOOD, WATER, FIRE, AND EARTH. I USE DIGITAL TOOLS TO CREATE GLIMPSES OF NATURE, CONSTRUCTING ABSTRACT PORTRAITS OF HER, ALL WITH A SENSE OF BALANCED COMPOSITION.

LET THESE PAINTINGS BE A PORTAL FOR YOU TO FEEL PEACE, HARMONY AND WELL-BEING. USE YOUR OWN IMAGINATION FOR WHAT YOU SEE AND FEEL, BECOME PERSONAL WITH THE ART. FEEL THE ENERGY. SEE IT LIKE NOBODY ELSE CAN.
