Camping families look like they're checking out; it's Sunday and the weekend's almost over.
19, another nothing to write home about
But there's small airplanes taking off and landing on the other side of the road.
Folks camping on the beach at Camp Mokuleia
A cottage on the beach at camp
I wouldn't even touch the water.
Passing horses again
Add one coconut tree
Long, long ways to go
At least sometimes you know where you are... and you're getting closer.
22, still in the middle of nowhere.
On the way back
Gotta be turning off this highway soon
Classic country house wtih large mango tree in front. Which came first, the garbage bin or the paint job?
Back under the bridge to Waialua
Arid and dusty Waialua
2.2 miles to go
At Waialua park again
Evidence of a marathon still in progress
Spotted at around 24 miles, wife and friend relieved I'm close
and will make it.
See the relief in their faces, besides, of course, joy and applause. Said I was taking this long because of leg cramps.
Remember this shot early on before sunrise?
Left for those still far behind me
Hang a left, this time, to Haleiwa, at 25 miles
Where is everybody?
Meeting of the Cones
Passing side lane
You wouldn't sense you were close to the Finish but yellow directional signs point the way.
More waterway from ag land... almost at Finish. In disstance can see the blue ocean all this is draining into.
Fellow Marathon Maniac
Entering the park
Finish line around the corner
With loyal supporters
