Subject: Are you ready for some football? It's the State Championship's and Punahou's playing!
Aloha Punahou ‘Ohana!

Punahou’s Varsity Football Team is making its ways into the history books as it heads into its first-ever State Championship game this Friday against the Red Raiders of Kahuku.

This talented group of athletes are champions already.  Their commitment and determination earned the school’s first ILH football championship in nearly thirty years when they defeated the number two-ranked St. Louis (14-0).  In round two of the playoffs, the Buffanblu vanquished ‘Aiea (34-14) and, in the semifinals last weekend, they earned a spot in the championship by beating Maui’s undefeated Baldwin Bears (30-7).  Smaller, faster and with a sophisticated playbook, Punahou has become a media favorite in the days leading up to the game.  More than 30,000 are expected to enjoy top-rated football this weekend.  Make sure you don’t miss it!
