STUDENT REVIEWS - A BIG ISLAND STUDENT ESSAY CONTEST
Pygoya,
The radio announcement for a whole half an hour went very well. The feed back on it has been very good.
The essays are graded for elementary, middle and high
school grades levels with one grand award. A volunteer committee has been working on the essay competition
and some local businesses have already given gift certificates ect. Your cash donations make it even more attractive and thank you. The awards were
titled "EHCC Cyberart Essay Awards". We can add "EHCC/Pygoya Cyberarts Essay
Awards". I will work you into being on the juror's panel as the committee has already appointed some jurors. We are publishing the winning essays and
a summery of the kids' opinion of Cyberart in "Art Centering". We will ask parents for release for the i-net and radio and will send you copies of all
essays if they agree and I think they will be glad to agree. Sudha Achar,

I wrote to the online service of "Münchner Merkur" (in Munich town - capital of
Bavaria) and they put a large article including a work of Karin onto its website.

I have a little fight here. The "Allgäuer Zeitung" will not post our article
because of the local art teachers protest. But I work on it...
Ingrid Kamerbeek
I just would like to send you further newspaper articles from Germany. You will find attached an article from the 'Westfalen-Blatt', a big Westfalian Newspaper, which reported yesterday of our international project.

Complete Article with featured artist Karin Kuhlmann
As you know, we, the German team started a nationalwide
public-relations campaign!
As a first result the Munich
Merkur-Online-Magazine reported yesterday about Cyberart and Cybershow. If Ingrid hasn't already done, I'll provide you with a link
and a (attached) copy of the page.

The article in the overregional part of the „Allgäuer Anzeigeblatt“ appeared despite all efforts of Mr. Meyer (local art teacher) to prevent this (against cyberart).
January 24, 2002
First of all: Here is the URL to the article about our exhibition and my image
in the "Allgäuer
Anzeigeblatt".
You know: There is this narrow-minded art teacher who tried
everything to hinder this article to appear. But it appeared. We have won
again!!! Perhaps you may tell this for the other artists not to give up?
