FOR THE NEW HISTORICAL WING OF PYGOYA WEBMUSEUM OF CYBERART
The Pygoya Webmuseum of Cyberart adds a new vrml (3D virtual reality) wing or building to house selected works of cyberart. The 54 actual oil on canvases are selected from 170 works produced by Pygoya between 1985 to 1992. The body of works are the products of convergence of Pygoya's influence by Modernism while working in a Post-Modern environment that combined Abstract Expressionism, aesthetic sensitivity of painting and multi-media developed in the artist, a study of the psychology of art, and 20th century digital graphic software artistic exploration. A portion of the imagery have been formerly exhibited in museums, such as Las Vegas Art Museum, the Shanghai State Art Museum and the Honolulu Academy of Arts. Actual works are approximately 6' x 4'.
